It is a Day of Mourning Today in Mostar

Today is the Day of Mourning in Mostar due to the tragic death of four people in a terrible traffic accident last weekend.

Flags will be put at half-mast on the buildings of the City Administration, City Council and public institutions and companies founded by the city of Mostar.

Programs of a public, cultural and entertainment nature will not be held in public places, and individuals and legal entities that perform catering activities are obliged to conduct their business in a manner appropriate to the Day of Mourning, according to the announcement of the city of Mostar.

On Saturday, September 24, in the evening hours, four people were killed and four were seriously injured in a car accident on the highway in Buna-Zaton, south of Mostar.

Four vehicles were involved in the accident.

“On September 24, 2022, around 8:00 p.m. on the M-17 highway, Zaton-Buna – Žitomislići locality, a traffic accident occurred involving L.Š. (2000) with a BMW vehicle, B.K. (1987 ) with the vehicle “Renault Scenic”, M.P. (1976) with the vehicle “BMW X5” and M.D. (1991) with the vehicle “Mercedes”. On that occasion, the driver of the vehicle “Renault Scenic” B.K., his passengers M.K. (1988) and minor R.K.(2013) while G.K.(2019) received serious bodily injuries. Also, the driver of the “BMW X5” vehicle M.P. was fatally injured, while the passengers of the “BMW” vehicle L.M.(1987), R.V.(1977) received serious injuries ) and K.J. (1998).”

People from two other cars, also BMW and Mercedes, suffered serious injuries.
