The strike by employees of the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, scheduled for today, is not underway, and all organizational units of the institution are operating without disruption and completing their regular tasks, the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina said.
As stated, on August 31, 2026, the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received a decision of the Trade Union Organization of the Tax Administration which prolongs the start of the strike for the third time. The strike is prolonged until the completion of the court proceeding evaluating the lawfulness of organizing the strike, i.e., compliance with the legally prescribed conditions for organizing the announced strike. All organizational units of the Tax Administration of Bosnia and Herzegovina operate without disruptions and fulfill their regular tasks.
The Tax Administration of Bosnia and Herzegovina finds it necessary to clearly point out to the public that this is the second time the public is being misled regarding the holding of the strike in this institution.
“Out of responsibility towards citizens, taxpayers, and the overall public, the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will not allow for a false image to be created regarding the work of this institution through unverified, false, and misleading information,” the statement said.
The management of the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina remains committed to protecting employees’ rights and continues to support lawful means for realizing employee financial entitlements.
At the same time, while informing about this matter, the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina calls on the public and the media to rely solely on verified and official information, considering that the legality issue of organizing the announced strike is currently the subject of court proceedings.
The Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will inform the public on time about all relevant facts and eventual new circumstances, the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina statement said.
