ITA BiH Collected 383 Million BAM More Compared to the last Year

Revenues from indirect taxes in the first eight months of 2025 amounted to 7 billion and 886 million BAM and are higher by 383 million BAM or 5.10 percent compared to the same period of 2024, when they amounted to 7 billion and 503 million BAM, it was announced by the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

The Authority in the first eight months of 2025 carried out VAT refunds to taxpayers who had a legal right to a refund in the amount of 1 billion and 446 million BAM.

Net collected revenues that went into distribution to beneficiaries in the first eight months of 2025, and those are the state, the entities, and the Brcko District, amounted to 6 billion and 440 million BAM and are higher by 4.8 percent compared to the revenues distributed to beneficiaries in the first eight months of 2024.

In August 2025, 1 billion and 36 million BAM of indirect taxes were collected, which is 28 million BAM more compared to August 2024.

For financing state institutions in the first eight months of 2025, an amount of 662 million BAM was allocated. The rest of the collected revenues from indirect taxes ended up with the entities and the Brcko District.

Thus, the Federation of BiH (FBiH) received 3 billion and 550 million BAM from the single account, Republika Srpska (RS) 1 billion and 989 million BAM, and the Brcko District 199 million BAM.

In addition to the distributed revenues, and based on the special road toll for the construction of highways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 BAM), the FBiH received an additional 161 million BAM, RS 107 million BAM, and the Brcko District 5 million BAM. The difference represents a reserve on the special account for the road toll in the amount of 0.25 BAM, it was announced by the ITA of BiH.
