Authorized officers of the Indirect Taxation Administration in an operational action codenamed “Cekin” seized a large quantity of gold in the area of the Tuzla regional center, the market value of which is estimated at 226,710 BAM.
Based on available information about irregularities in the business operations of a legal entity from the area covered by the Tuzla regional center, authorized officers of the Indirect Taxation Administration checked the turnover and origin of goods.
On that occasion, a large quantity of gold jewelry was found for which there was no legally prescribed documentation on the regular import procedure, nor proof of origin.
During the operational activities, 906.84 grams of gold (precious metal) were found, which was found in circulation without previously paid import duties.
The total value of the temporarily seized goods in the aforementioned operational activity is 226,710.00 BAM.
The operational action codenamed “Cekin” was carried out by authorized officials of the Indirect Taxation Administration, Department for Enforcement of Regulations, Group for Prevention of Smuggling and Offenses, RC Tuzla, in cooperation with officers of the Intelligence Group.
Legally prescribed measures and actions were taken against the perpetrators of the illegality.
