Italian Cooperation donated 30 000 $ to Farmers

farmersThe Italian Cooperation donated more than 55 tons of fertilizers worth more than 30,000 EUR to farmers in the municipality of Sanski Most, who were affected by floods in May 2014.

“This is the first tranche of donations provided for a total of 125 users and 16 associations that are active in the rural sector of Sanski Most, which will include the delivery of seeds, irrigation pumps and other agricultural equipment,” said the Ambassador of Italy Ruggero Corrias, on the occasion of granting these donations for hundred farmers from the area of Sanski Most.

In the upcoming months additional donations for the agricultural sector will be presented in Sanski Most, which is aiming towards providing support to the activities of agricultural producers who were affected by the floods, and to strengthen the activities of rural associations in this area.

Sanski Most, Srebrenica, Maglaj, Derventa, Orasje and Zvornik are municipalities in which the Italian Cooperation is implementing the project of reconstruction after the floods in the value of one million EUR in favor of farmers, independent agricultural producers and small and medium enterprises, as announced from the Office of the Press and translation of the Italian Embassy in B&H.
