Italy will provide hospital treatment for 100 Palestinian children from the Gaza Strip after transporting them by plane and ship in the next few days, Defense Minister Guido Crozeto said.

Crozeto said the first 30 children will be flown in from Egypt. Another 30 children should arrive in Italy with their families at the end of January on the military ship “Vulcano”, which will set sail from the Egyptian port of El Arish.

Crozeto did not specify when and how the remaining 40 children will be transported.

More than 25,700 Palestinians have been killed since Israeli forces launched an all-out war to eliminate the ruling Palestinian Islamist group Hamas in Gaza after its militants stormed across the border into towns and bases in southern Israel on October 7, killing 1,200 people and taking 253 hostages.

The Israeli army has killed 11,000 children since October 7, when it began its attacks on the Gaza Strip.

In a statement from the Media Office of the government in Gaza, it is stated that 11,000 children and 7,500 women lost their lives in 108 days of Israeli attacks on Gaza.

It is stated that 7,000 people, of which 70 percent are women and children, are still under the rubble or missing in Gaza, the number of corpses that have reached hospitals is 25,925, and 63,000 people are injured.

In the Israeli attacks, 70,000 houses were completely destroyed, and a total of 290,000 housing units were damaged and became unusable.

As for Israeli attacks targeting the health sector, it was reported that 337 health workers and 45 members of the civil defense were killed.

It was recorded that since October 7, 119 journalists lost their lives in Israeli attacks in Gaza.

Israeli forces detained 99 health workers and 10 journalists, and two million people were displaced in the Gaza Strip with a population of 2.3 million.

The inhumane situation in the accommodation centers where the exiled Palestinians took refuge was pointed out, and it was stated that 400,000 infectious diseases and more than 8,000 cases of hepatitis A were discovered as a result of the displacement.

It is stated that 60,000 pregnant women and 350,000 people with chronic diseases are in danger due to the lack of health care in Gaza.

It was also recorded that the Israeli army destroyed 140 state buildings and 99 schools and universities, while 295 schools and universities were partially damaged.

It was emphasized that the number of injured who need treatment outside Gaza is 11,000, and 10,000 cancer patients are at risk of death due to inadequate health care.

The Israeli army damaged 253 mosques in Gaza in attacks, of which 161 were completely destroyed, and also targeted three churches, causing them to be destroyed.

Israel also targeted 150 health facilities in Gaza, disabled 53 health centers and 30 hospitals, and disabled 122 ambulances.

It was reported that Israel also targeted Palestinian cultural heritage and destroyed 200 historical and cultural properties in Gaza.

The statement also emphasized that since October 7, the Israeli army has attacked Gaza with more than 65,000 tons of explosives, AA writes.
