bakir_standardChairman of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegović is currently in a private visit, on a four-day holiday, in Austria.

Mr. Izetbegović pays for the costs of their accommodation and stay personally.

Police officers of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, who are following Mr. Izetbegović, provide him a mandatory 24-hour protection as to a member of the Presidency of BiH. They are obliged to this by the laws and regulations of BiH and by international regulations.

As the Cabinet of the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH stated, Der Standard provided the readers with inaccurate allegations.

The Austrian daily newspaper published an article about Izetbegović’s stay in Vienna, questioning the use of official vehicles and security detail and stating how it is unclear whether that is an official or private visit.
