Today, the Presidency of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) was in session, after which party president Bakir Izetbegović addressed the public.
Current topics at this session were the budget, the appointment of the FTV Board of Directors, FBiH borrowing, the national anthem and coat of arms of the NSRS, as well as the All-Serbian parliament, the declaration from that parliament, and the activities carried out throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina based on the conclusions of that parliament.
Izetbegović pointed out that this is “the most concrete attack on the sovereignty of BiH and a prelude to the attack on the territorial integrity of BiH since 1992.”
“Some things that should not have been talked about 15 years ago are now becoming part of the program. It is about the continuation of the all-Serbian policy, the goal of which at the moment is the destabilization of BiH and the gradual separation of part of the territory of BiH and the annexation of the RS to Serbia,” said Izetbegović, reminding that the plans from the declaration of the All-Serbian Parliament already presented earlier, first in memorandums SANU 1 and 2, and on the SNSD resolution from 2015.”
Apartheid against non-Serbs in the RS is being repeated and preconditions are being created for the separation of this entity from Bosnia and Herzegovina, he said.
“The preamble and conclusions of the declaration are based on untruths, on malicious interpretations of historical events and documents, and a misinterpretation of the Dayton Peace Agreement (DPA), such as some ‘rights of Serbia’ or the territory and autonomy of the RS, which is treated as an exclusive Serbian state, which nowhere does he mention, based on misinterpretations, that Serbs sit in the institutions. No, no, they are representatives of Serbs and citizens.”
He reiterated that they are trying to give Serbia rights that it does not have according to the DMS, but it has “an express obligation to respect the state and an obligation to never repeat the historical mistakes that led to suffering and epic destruction in the Balkans and Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
They are resigned to the fact that the declaration of the All-Serbian Parliament assumes that the RS is an entity of only the Serbian people, that the anthem, coat of arms and symbols are adopted “as if there were no others, except Serbs, in that entity”.
“With declarations and conclusions, Serbia is aggressively interfering in the internal affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, grossly undermining the DMS. They take the position that BiH institutions should act, Serbia is teaching us what we should do regarding entity holidays, education, united action, as if there are no others peoples in the RS and as if they do not have equal rights,” said Izetbegović, who repeated that this was “an attempt to dominate and confirm apartheid.”
He revealed that the SDA, with its conclusions, called on the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) and witness states of the DMS to urgently stop the described activities of Serbia and Republika Srpska, which are undermining peace in the Balkans and BiH. They also ask them to impose sanctions on Serbian officials; they ask the OHR to make decisions and prevent possible blockages of institutions, but also to act and prevent the announced proposals to change the name of Srebrenica and the names of its streets.
“We ask the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to stop ignoring the attacks on the state, and to look at the material on the so-called ‘peaceful disassociation’. We call for the gathering of all BiH political parties for the purpose of resistance, and we, as the SDA, will use all available mechanisms wherever it is assessed that there is a basis for that,” he concluded.
