Japan donated Nine Emergency Vehicles to BiH

On 25 September, Ambassador of Japan to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Hideyuki SAKAMOTO and H.E. Dragan Mekić, Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina attended a handover ceremony of 9 emergency vehicles whose value is approximately 1.1 million KM, for Civil Protection Administration in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Srpska and the Brčko District, held in the premises of the Ministry of Security of BiH in Sarajevo.
 
This grant is a part of Japan’s Non-Project Grant Aid, coordinated by the Ministry of Security and 9 emergency vehicles of Nissan X-Trails will be utilized by Civil Protection Administration in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Srpska and the Brčko District.
 Minister Dragan Mektić thanked the Japanese Government for the support which would enhance the capacity of BiH authorities to respond to natural disasters such as floods and directly benefit residents of local communities in BiH.
