The Government of Japan has provided grant funds in the amount of 135,408 Euro (approx. 265,830 BAM) for two projects of procuring ambulances for the Health Care Centres of Zavidovići and Stanari. The Grant contracts were signed between Ambassador Masami KINEFUCHI and the directors of the aforementioned institutions, Ms. Amira Hadžić and Mr. Slaven Jerinić respectively on 12 October 2023 at the Residence of the Ambassador of Japan. The signing ceremony was also attended by the Mayor of Stanari municipality, Mr. Radojica Ćosić.
The Government of Japan granted 63,822 Euro (approx. 124,830 BAM) to the Project for Provision of Ambulance for Health Care Centre in Zavidovići. The project will improve their capacity of emergency treatment activities that expected to benefit approx. 1600 patients annually from this donation.
For the Project for Provision Ambulance for Health Care Centre in Stanari the amount of 71,586 Euro (approx. 140,010 BAM) was granted. Through the implementation of this project approx. 500 patients annually are expected to receive adequate emergency transfer service.
The Government of Japan has been assisting the improvement of people’s welfare, in such sectors as health care and education, demining in Bosnia and Herzegovina through the scheme of Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GAGP) which aims at directly benefitting the people at grassroots level. The total grants approved in the last 27 years amount to over 20 million Euro (approx. 39 million BAM).
