The legendary BH football player and later coach Ivica Osim died in May last year.

Wherever he worked, he left a deep mark. He was loved in society, recognized on the field and highly respected off the field. Many looked at him as a teacher, both football and life.

The fact that the people there unveiled a bust of him in Tokyo today shows how much the legendary is respected in Japan.

In addition, he was the coach of Jeff United Chiba in Japan, and later the selector of the national team of a country that still mourns a legendary who changed their football.

At one time, he was awarded the ‘Order of the Rising Sun’ by the local government, one of the highest honors awarded during the imperial awards ceremony. Now he got a bust too.

The bust unveiling ceremony was attended by his family, wife Asima and son Amar. Numerous fans and admirers of Osim’s work were also present.
