The Japanese Foundation provides study programs for scientists and researchers who are engaged in research activities in the area of natural or social sciences, or who have practical experience in research, media or nonprofit organizations and doctoral students.
The program is for scientists and researchers who have academic or research experience equivalent to doctoral studies, and who are doing research related to Japan (including comparative research) in areas of natural or social sciences for a period lasting from two to twelve months.
The program also is provided for scientists and researchers in this category, who have to visit Japan to conduct intensive research, gather materials and anything else that is relevant for their research project lasting from 21 to 59 days.
The Foundation offers programs for students of doctoral studies who are conducting research related to Japan in areas of natural or social sciences and who have to visit Japan for final preparations of doctoral dissertations.
Applicants should send all documents to the Embassy of Japan by 2 December.
