Grujic: Twice more Foreign Investments in BiH than in 2013

foreign investment increaseDelegates of the Joint commission for the economic reforms and development of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, discussed yesterday the work of the Council of Ministers and 11 BH institutions for which this commission is responsible whose reports are included in the Report on the work of the Council of Ministers.

It is about Institutes for the Intellectual property, standardization, for accreditation, then Instituion of Ombudspersons and agencies for statistics, market surveillance, insurance, labor and employment and for the improvement of foreign investments, the Competition Council and the Directorate for the economic planning.

Member of the Commission, Jasmin Emric (A-SDA) emphasized that the Council of Ministers should work as much as possible on the harmonization of BH regulations with regulations and legislation of the EU since BiH strives to become its member.

Members of the Commission were also addressed by representatives of these institutions and Aleksandar Cincar, director of the Institute for standardization, said that this institute adopted 85% of European standards and around 20.000 regulations and that seven of nine criteria requested by the European Commission were achieved.

Director of the Agency for the Improvement of foreign investments, Jelica Grujic, said that in the last year, 820 million BAM of foreign investments were recorded, which is twice as in 2013.
