movieRecording of the feature film “After the end of the world” with Oscar-winning actor Jeremy Irons, by authors Anne Barliant and Srdjan Sarenac, was continued in New York.

The film talks about the first Sarajevo Film Festival “After the end of the world”, which was held in 1993 in besieged Sarajevo and the role of culture in the survival of citizens under the siege.

“I’ve never flown into a war zone before. We did not know whether they will shoot at us when we ran across the airport runway, we did not know anything,” said Irons.

Besides Irons, the film features former director of the first Sarajevo Film Festival Haris Pasovic and Ismet Nuno Arnautalic, Lejla Pasovic-Mustafic, Kasim Dzajic, Srdjan Vuletic and many other well-known Bosnian artists who worked on the organization of the film festival during the war.

The film also features world famous artists – Vanessa Redgrave, Wim Wenders, Annie Leibovitz, Roman Polanski, Bernardo Bertolucci and many others.

The film will be premiered in 2017.
