Representatives of Jewish Community in BiH supported Sarajevo Mayor

The mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić, yesterday filed a report with the Federal Police Administration against the president of the Abraham Group and the executive director of Aluminij, Amir Gross Kabiri, all because of harassment. Today, she announced, she was welcomed by the representatives of the Jewish Municipality of Sarajevo and La Benevolencija – in order to support her.

“After last night I announced the inconveniences I have been exposed to recently, this morning I was the first to meet the representatives of the Jewish Municipality of Sarajevo and La Benevolencija at the door of my office who came to give me their support. This support is a clear indication to me that I am a target for no reason and that everything that does not resemble me or the city I lead is being attributed to me. The words of people whose actions are immeasurably important and necessary for our community mean a lot to me,” Karić announced tonight, additionally thanking not only the Jewish Municipality of Sarajevo and La Benevolencia, but also the Association of Generals of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Let us recall that Gross Kabiri accused Karić on several occasions of “supporting Hamas”, and in the explanation of her report, Karić pointed out that she felt that her safety was threatened.
