“Go out and fire them” was the message of the JMBG protestors in Sarajevo, who used this to call on all citizens of BiH to join them on 1 July in the fight to have their demands met.
“On the first day of the protests, our demands for the immediate adoption of a law on the JMBG was placed on the daily agenda. The BiH Council of Ministers brought a temporary decision on the JMBG. On the second day of the protests, Belmina Ibrišević received a passport. On the seventh day of the protests, Belmina was relocated to receive treatment, and for 2.057 babies they received their unique master citizen number.
‘’Then, we gave a deadline of 30 June. This was the period in which they should do their job and ensure fundamental rights to children. They should have done their job for which they were elected. They should have done their jobs for which they are receiving excellent salaries’’, said the citizens who gathered at the JMBG protests.
