kavazovicReis-ul-ulema Husein Kavazovic sent a letter of condolence to the ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt Yasser Elatawiu on the occasion of the terrorist attack on the Coptic community in Egypt.

“On behalf of the Muslims, the Islamic Community in BiH and my own behalf, I extend deepest condolences to families of the victims of the terrorist attacks on the Coptic Cathedral in Alexandria, and the church in Tanti. We express our condolences to the brotherly Egyptian people, President of the Republic, the Government of Egypt and especially our friends from the Egyptian Coptic Church.

This represents an open attack on the unity of the Egyptian people, but also on the idea of coexistence and interreligious dialogue around the world. Such attacks, no matter how painful they are, will only reinforce our determination to stand up against terrorists and to strengthen our union.

Our thoughts are with people of Egypt, and we pray the Almighty to preserve the unity of the Egyptian people and the safety of their homeland, is stated in a letter of condolence.
