As part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the beginning of the siege of Sarajevo, last night on the plateau in front of the Youth Theater, the dishes “Kitchen under Siege” were presented.

Tasting of dishes prepared during the war and during the siege of Sarajevo was available to citizens until 9 pm last night.

At the same time, from 7 pm to 9 pm, and at the same place, the tasting is planned for today.

Vezira Muhovic, a professional teacher of practical cooking classes from the Catering and Tourism High School, together with her students, prepared meals that the citizens of Sarajevo ate during the siege.

”Together with the students, we prepared fish pate, beans, lentils, baked macaroni, rice, brownie bombs, petit biscuit cakes, everything that was prepared in the war,” Muhovic stated.

Furthermore, Muhovic said that her students and she prepared real coffee that was drunk during the war and which remained a symbol of that time.

”We also made real coffee from lentils and barley,” she added.

The ”Kitchen under Siege” was also visited by the Prime Minister of the Canton Sarajevo, Edin Forto.
