13“Kolibri” kindergarden will open on 22 April on the Day of the City, announced the Mayor of Banja Luka Slobodan Gavranović after a meeting with the leadership fo the Center for Pre-School Education on Friday. He said that there would be 250 children in the nursery, and that in the last two months there has been intensive work in order to remove all obstacles, according to banjalukalive.

Gavranović said that the admission of 250 children in this nursery would relieve some of the burden of a number of other nurseries in Banja Luka.

“We will continue the activities related to the nursery. In parallel to “Kolibri”, we are working on opening a nursery that would be placed in the former restaurant “Ognjište” at Starčevici”, and also the one on Krfsja street. According to the dynamics of business, these two nurseries should be ready by May. The funds for rehabilitation of the two nurseries were ensured by the budgetary reserve’’, said Gavranović.

The Director of the Center for Pre-School Education Nataša Radulović expressed satisfaction for the fact that soon 250 children will have a place in “Kolibri”. In the meantime, she said that when these children are placed in this nursery, another 1.900 children will wait for a place in a nursery in Banja Luka.

“If we accelerate the pace with which we open nurseries, I believe that we would help our citizens and our children that are waiting for a place in a nursery’’, said Radulović.
