Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Zeljko Komsic met with the delegation of the Committee on European Affairs of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, who expressed a desire to get better acquainted with the current political and social processes in BiH.
The delegation of the Committee on European Affairs of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of the Netherlands expressed concern over the announcement of the blockade of the general elections and stressed that the October elections should be held.
Komsic expressed gratitude to the Committee for the principled and consistent position of the Kingdom of the Netherlands regarding the requirements for meeting European legal standards, which are a prerequisite for BiH’s European path, as well as gratitude for the principled position on the anti-European principle of the constituency.
The attitude of the citizens of BiH towards current political issues was also discussed at the meeting, concluding that all citizens of BiH, regardless of their ethnic origin, must be equal before the law.
It was mentioned that some representatives of the international community in BiH must be more precise when talking about the opposition of certain policies to the adoption of reform laws, in order to more clearly determine the political responsibility for the current blockades.
During the meetings, it was pointed out that the ethnic concept of organizing society and the state produces organized crime and systemic corruption, and that such a concept must be rejected through the implementation of reforms.
On behalf of the Committee on European Affairs of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, these participants attended the meeting; Attje Kuiken, Ruben Brekelmans, Jasper van Dijk, Kati Piri, Corinne Ellemeet, Tanahan Kuzu, Jan Peternotte, and Renee Konings, the Public Relations Office of the Presidency of BiH announced.
