In the area of the municipalities of Livno and Tomislavgrad, several fires were recorded, and at one point the fire threatened the houses.

As it is learned from the Voluntary Fire Brigade, firefighters have been extinguishing the fire for several days. The line of fire is tens of kilometers long, and it is an area that is still under mines in some places.

”The whole city is in smoke, and information about new fires arrives every few hours,” firefighters from Livno point out.

They add that a new fire broke out last night in the area above Caic.

Firefighters managed to control the fire and save several family houses and the forest.

Tomislavgrad firefighters also put out several fires on Friday and Saturday.

As the commander of the Tomislavgrad Professional Fire Brigade, Mate Jurcevic, told Fena news agency, an old house caught fire in the Grabovica settlement last night, and the quick intervention of firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring houses.

The fires were caused by human negligence, Jurcevic added and called on citizens to refrain from lighting fires in the open spaces.
