Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić sent a congratulatory message to the newly elected Pope, Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost.

“Your service to date, especially as a missionary in Peru and leader of the Augustinian order, testifies to your dedication to the poor and marginalized. I am convinced that in the future your spiritual leadership, wisdom and compassion will strengthen the efforts of those who advocate for justice, solidarity and the dignity of every person. BiH has deep respect for the Holy See and its mission in the world. I am convinced that we will continue to develop friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Vatican in a common aspiration towards a more just, more united and more humane world,” states the congratulatory message from Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić.
