Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zeljko Komsic and BiH Presidency Member Sefik Dzaferovic met with the High Representative in BiH Christian Schmidt during the Strategic Forum in Bled. Komsic pointed out that BiH will survive regardless of the EU.
Komsic pointed out that he had talked to the High Representative regarding the overall situation in BiH, and that Dzaferovic and he had expressed their views and opinions that what Dodik was doing in BiH, no matter how crazy, at times tragicomic, was not because this is a well-thought-out plan and everything he says is, in Komsic’s opinion, aimed at discouraging the international community when it comes to BiH, Fena news agency reports.
“States cannot be divided just like that, as Dodik says. In the democratic tradition of the European continent in the 21st century, it is not normal for someone to talk about the disintegration of states. The question is who Dodik is addressing, It demoralizes the international community when it comes to BiH, “he said.
He added that Schmidt is still collecting information, ie. insight into what is happening.
“His particularly good trait is that he draws his own conclusions based on the information obtained, which is very positive in this case. Schmidt’s position is very similar to my position, which I have now stated,” Komsic said.
He added that it is very important that everyone agrees on one thing, and that is that the Western Balkans must be part of the EU.
He said BiH would certainly remain united and complete, regardless of the EU.
“BiH was before the EU. BiH was when many EU countries did not exist. We will stay no matter what,” he concluded.
