The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić, will represent Bosnia and Herzegovina at the European Union – Western Balkans Summit, which will be held today at the headquarters of the European Council in Brussels.

The summit brings together leaders of the European Union member states and the Western Balkans countries with the aim of discussing key issues of regional cooperation, progress in the European integration process and challenges of the contemporary geopolitical environment.

During the plenary meeting and working dinner, the deepening of cooperation, the economic and investment plan, the Green and Digital Agendas, the common foreign and security policy, the fight against hybrid threats and migration issues will be discussed, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.

Serbia will not participate in the summit. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said yesterday that he would not travel to Brussels for the European Union – Western Balkans Summit, stating that he made such a decision in order, as he said, to protect Serbia’s interests. Vučić said that Serbia remains committed to the European path.
