The member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zeljko Komsic today arrived in Kamicani in Kozarac, near Prijedor, where the funeral of 16 Prijedor victims killed 30 years ago was held.
“Unfortunately, there are too many places like this in BiH. Thirty years after the crimes were committed, they are still looking for the remains of those innocent civilians, first of all, which in itself speaks of the extent of the evil that happened back then. We have not been in Srebrenica for a few days, today we are here in the territory of the city of Prijedor and it is always the same story. People died, people were killed because of their religion, because of their ethnic origin, with the aim of exterminating an entire nation, an entire religious group,” said Komsic.
As he said, it also speaks about the intentions, about everything that was the intention of the aggressors in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Clean ethnic areas
“Clean the ethnic areas from members of those who do not belong to the same religious or ethnic group and implement the plan that started spinning many years ago. Unfortunately, today we are witnessing the same scenes again and the question is how many more years will we, perhaps even the generations that come after us, witness such things,” stressed Komsic.
It is said that no matter how sad they are, no matter how difficult it is, lessons must be learned from this.
“Don’t let this ever happen again, don’t let us as Bosnians and Herzegovina get caught and let things like this happen to us,” said Komsic.
A different situation
He added that, unfortunately, there are too many places like this in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As he said, the ideas that were in force in the ’90s are still alive.
“Of course they live, if they didn’t the situation in BiH would be far different. We would be talking from a different point in relation to the one where we are now, I mean politically, in a social sense. Unfortunately, these ideas were not defeated at the end of 1995,” added Komsic.
