The mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karcic, spoke today with the mayor of New York, Eric Adams.
Karic is among the participants of the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership program, as one of the 40 scholarship holders of this program, which is implemented in New York.
“I pointed out that perhaps the United States of America and New York best understand what the wealth of cultures, traditions, religions, and ethnic diversity that pervades in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and especially in Sarajevo, means,” she pointed out after the meeting with the mayor of New York.
Earlier, she stated that the aforementioned program is a unique platform for mayors to exchange ideas and learn from each other under the mentorship of Harvard University experts.
The purpose of the program is to help mayors to improve the quality of life of the residents of their cities.
