On the occasion of the statements of the Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenkovic that elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) should not be held at all costs, as well as the statement of Croatian President Zoran Milanovic that BiH is not a real state and will never join NATO, ‘Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Zeljko Komsic commented:
“Messrs. Milanovic and Plenkovic must know that the issue of holding elections is an internal matter of the state of BiH. This will not be decided in Zagreb, but will be decided by the institutions of BiH responsible for conducting the elections. Any further interference in the election process in BiH cannot be understood otherwise than as an attack on democracy in a sovereign and internationally recognized state,” Komsic said.
”When it comes to NATO, BiH and its institutions have made relevant decisions in that regard, and BiH’s membership in NATO will not be decided in Milanovic’s “little Moscow”, but in much more important places, “ noted the BiH presidency chairman.
“If Plenkovic and Milanovic think that by humiliating the state of BiH, they will realize their interests in our country, then they are mistaken,” Komsic added.
To recall, Croatian President Zoran Milanovic is against the potential expansion of NATO, and he is also telling BiH that he will not get a permit to join due to the so-called Croatian issue.
The Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenkovic, stated yesterday in Brussels that the General Elections in BiH should not be held at all costs and called on Croatian and Bosniak leaders to agree on the Election Law.
