Konakovic and Grlic Radman: Stable Relations between nNeighbors are the key to Peace and Progress

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, met today in Sarajevo with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlić Radman.

During the meeting, bilateral cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, relations in the region and the continuation of our country’s European path were discussed, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.

On that occasion, the interlocutors emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in the period of global security challenges, assessing that stable relations between neighbors are the key to peace and progress.

When it comes to European integration, Konaković emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina continues with the reform process. He expressed his gratitude for the support provided by the Republic of Croatia to BiH on its way to the EU and NATO, and especially for the help it provided to our country after the catastrophic floods that hit BiH at the beginning of the month.

Grlić Radman expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of the catastrophic floods and expressed Croatia’s readiness to help the neighboring country in these difficult times. He emphasized that the friendly relations between the two countries are the basis for the improvement of bilateral cooperation. He congratulated Bosnia and Herzegovina on the successful local elections and the organization of the “NATO Partner 360 Symposium 2024”.

The meeting also discussed the amendment of the Agreement on border crossings between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, infrastructure projects, economic development and other issues of common interest to the two countries.
