The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, spoke today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Tanja Fajon, about the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the continuation of our country’s path towards membership in the European Union, by fulfilling the set conditions.

Konaković emphasized that the path of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the context of the integration process is related to the development of the economy, the stay of citizens in the country, investments that will create new jobs and increase the export power of the country. He added that political leadership should enable this on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, integration and development of the Western Balkans to ensure the economic progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the region.

Minister Fajon once again emphasized the proven friendship between Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and that Slovenia will continue to support Bosnia and Herzegovina on its way to EU membership.

Fajon said that the reforms mean the improvement of citizens’ lives and that the good story with the Decision on the opening of accession negotiations should definitely be continued with active political advocacy and improvement of the economic situation in the country, the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH announced.
