Konjic nominated for the prestigious “Green Destinations Top 100 Stories” Award

Among the tourist attractions with recognizable stories and green destinations, a significant place on the world list could be taken by Konjic, because this town in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been nominated for the prestigious “Green Destinations Top 100 Stories” award for 2023.

Information about the nomination of Konjic for this prestigious award was shared on social media by the tourist agency “Visit Konjic”, inviting its friends and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and all those who believe that this tourism potential of our country deserves an award, to vote for it via the website.

“This recognition is a testimony of the destination’s commitment to sustainable tourism and its efforts to create a progressive community through innovative practices,” the Visit Konjic agency states.

On the “Green Destinations Top 100 Stories” page for 2023, Konjic is described as an attractive destination in Bosnia and Herzegovina, located near popular tourist spots such as Sarajevo, Mostar and Dubrovnik.

“Tourists can enjoy exploring the city’s historical landmarks, such as the restored Stone Bridge, while participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, rafting, kayaking and paragliding. The Neretva River, known as the ‘flowing deity’, is an important the tourist symbol of Konjic. It originates in the mountainous regions of high Herzegovina, forming a unique ecosystem. Rafting on the Neretva River offers exciting experiences for beginners and experienced adventurers,” says Green Destinations.

Every year, the “Green Destinations Story Awards” tell inspiring stories about the sustainability of destinations around the world, sharing good practices and solutions implemented in destinations to become more responsible in tourism.

In order for Konjic, which is described as a charming town and an unmissable destination for every traveler, hidden among the hills, refreshed and washed by the clarity of the river, to win the award, online voting will decide.
