A speech from Tuesday by President of the HDZ Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Dragan Covic during a special session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NARS) provoked numerous condemnations in BiH and the region, and it is interesting that Covic’s statements were also condemned by former officials of his home party in Croatia.

Former Croatian Prime Minister and former HDZ president,Jadranka Kosor is just one of those who condemned the messages Covic which he sent from a rostrum in Banja Luka.

On her Twitter profile, Kosor quoted a part of Covic’s speech, which is especially painful for Croats who, according to all censuses, were practically reduced to a statistical error in the BiH entity of RS by ethnic cleansing.

“Protect the RS, everyone can envy you,” said the biggest Croatian fan of genocide denier. Indeed, he can be the next Serb candidate for the BiH Presidency. When the main genocide negator gets tired.

To recall, Covic was a guest during a special session of the entity assembly on Tuesday, at the invitation of NARS president Nedeljko Cubrilovic and SNSD leader Milorad Dodik.

During his speech, he noted through controversial claims, among other things, that Serbs need to protect the RS and said that he hoped that “they will not have the same fate in BiH as the Croats”.
