The Minister of Justice of Kosovo, Albulena Hadžiu, is not surprised that the Serbian authorities released from custody the former Vice President of the Serbian List, Milan Radoičić, who took responsibility for organizing the armed group that clashed with the Kosovo Police on September 24.
In a statement to the Kosovo media, Hadžiu said that she was not surprised by Radoičić’s release because “Serbia has become a haven for war criminals and terrorists.”
“The terrorist attack that took place in Kosovo was directed, proven, by Serbia and President Vučić, and in this regard, any action by Serbia in relation to this issue, especially towards an armed terrorist group, is not surprising. Serbia is the same country that, despite Kosovo’s insistence, has never handed over war criminals and will not hand over terrorists who carried out a terrorist attack on the territory of Kosovo. “It is clear that Serbia is a haven for war criminals and terrorists who carried out a terrorist attack on the territory of Kosovo ten days ago,” said Hadžiu.
She pointed out that the judicial institutions in Kosovo are working well in the investigation of the armed attack on September 24 in Banjska, near Zvečani, when Kosovo Police Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed.
Hadžiju once again reiterated that Kosovo will demand the extradition of Milan Radoičić, adding that it is the obligation of the Kosovo side to issue an international warrant for the former vice-president of the Serbian List.
The High Court in Belgrade today rejected the prosecution’s request to order custody of Milan Radojičić, after which the prosecution announced an appeal. According to the defendant Radoičić, a measure of prohibition against leaving his place of residence was determined, by which he was forbidden to leave the territory of Serbia without the permission of the court and was forbidden to go to Kosovo. He was ordered to report to the competent police station on the 1st and 15th of every month, AA reports.
