The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina suspended the proceedings on the request for constitutional review of the provisions of the Law on the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was submitted by Borjana Krišto, after the applicant gave up the request, it was announced at the end of the two-day plenary session of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Krišto, at the time of submitting the request, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in a letter dated July 6 this year, requested its withdrawal, stating that the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina had prepared a Bill on the Courts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which should be considered at one of the next session of the BiH Council of Ministers.

The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina also dismissed Zlatko Knežević from the duties of judge/vice president of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina before the end of the term for which he was elected, at his request of June 29, 2023, due to his retirement on January 2, 2024.

The court refused to discuss the proposal of Vice President Knežević to annul the Decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina dated June 19, 2023 on the amendment of the Rules of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which deleted the provision of Article 39 of the Rules.

At today’s session, the Constitutional Court adopted the Report on the Execution of Decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and resolved some other administrative issues, the judicial institution announced.
