Kurz started his visit to B&H with Meetings with Crnadak and Zvizdic

meeting2Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria Sebastian Kurz, who arrived last night in a visit to B&H, started his visit to B&H with meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Crnadak and Chairman of the Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdic.

The primary topic of conversation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of B&H were the European Integrations of B&H. Minister Crnadak emphasized the importance of the upcoming submission of the application for membership of B&H in the European Union and support of Member States for subject efforts, and asked the Minister Kurz for continuation of the policy of strong support for B&H by the Republic of Austria.

The meeting is part of the planned activities of Crnadak to meet with as many of the foreign ministers of EU member states as possible in the future, in order to ensure affirmative support of EU partners to the application for membership into the EU.

Besides the good political relations between the two countries, Crnadak and Kurz addressed and further growth of economic cooperation. The fact that the Republic of Austria is continuously largest direct investor in B&H was emphasized during the meeting.

The two ministers expressed their satisfaction with the beginning of the very important project of cultural exchange between B&H and Austria, entitled “Year of Culture of B&H – Austria 2016, which will be officially opened today at the National Theatre in Sarajevo, in the presence of the two ministers of Foreign Affairs.

They agreed in their assessment that maintenance a number of different cultural events, Bosnian in Austria and Austrian in B&H, under the motto “In order to get to know each other better,” will strongly contribute to the further development of relations between the two countries that are bonded with the strong historical, economic, cultural and other connections.
