Kuwait: Ready to Provide Humanitarian Assistance to Endangered Population

kuwait and bosniaToday, Ivo Komšić, the mayor of Sarajevo, received a  delegation of representatives of the Association of Municipalities of Kuwait. The delegation was led by Mishal Al-Juwesaryem, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Municipalities. Additionally, the meeting was also attended by Nasser Riden Thamer Almotairi, the Kuwaiti Ambassador to BiH.

The satisfaction with the relations between Kuwait and Bosnia, and especially with the City of Sarajevo, was expressed by the mayor. On the meeting, the guests were introduced with current and future projects, as well as with the damage caused by the devastating floods.

Mishal Al-Juwesary thanked the mayor for the warm welcome and expressed his condolences on the occasion of the recent natural disasters. In addition, Mishal Al-Juwesary expressed the willingness Kuwait to additionally help the endangered population.

“There is an organized network of humanitarian organizations in Kuwait, and our government will not delay the help which is needed to our friends”, said Al-Juwesary. In addition, he emphasized that Kuwait is ready to invest in other projects in the City of Sarajevo.
