sarajevo panoramaBoard member of the company Al-Bahar from Kuwait, which deals with investment in real estate, trade and production throughout the world, Wael al-Bahar, was in BiH these last several days. Before the visit, Al-Bahar corporation founded in Sarajevo the company ‘Rodina’, which will be the starting point for investing in BiH.

Speaking of the reasons of the visit to our country, Al-Bahar told ‘Oslobođenje’ that he came to see what are the opportunities and possibilities in our country.

“Thanks to the Ambassador of BIH to Kuwait Senahid Bristrić, I heard some information on the opportunities to invest in BIH, and before that I was not particularly interested’’, he said.

He added how his company has investments in Slovakia, Croatia, Turkey, Egypt and other countries in the Middle East, but that information on BiH that he received earlier did not favor foreign investors.

He said that he met the BIH Ambassador at a weekly gathering of business people, and he was interested in the story on BiH and decided to visit our country in order to verify the actual opportunities.

“The Ambassador prepared some contacts and I was delighted with what I saw. I had the chance to meet with several mayors of municipalities, to be informed about the regulations in BiH, and to receive some information that every investor needs’’, said Al-Bahar.

Several years ago, barely 500 tourists came from Kuwait, and today the number of tourists from this Middle Eastern country is near 30.000. This certainly contributed to the establishment of direct charter flights from Kuwait to Sarajevo, and this year the establishment of two more charter flights are planned. American and Kuwaiti airlines companies will be responsible for the flights for Qatari tourists.

“All of this has encouraged us to come and see what kind of opportunities exist for investment’’, said Al-Bahar.
