theatreLana Bastašić, author of the text ‘Bajka koju idiot priča’ (Idiot-narrated fairytale) is the winner of 2012/2013 BiH drama competition, which is organised by Association ‘Fercera’.

She was awarded with 8 000 BAM, and the sponsor of the competition was FBIH Ministry of Culture and Sports.

Her text was chosen among 62 texts, and expert jury that graded texts consisted of Muhamed Dželilović, Dragan Jovičić and Dragan Komadina.

In Chamber Theatre 55 in Sarajevo, three texts that came to finals were read.

President of the jury Muhamed Dželilović noted that the text is a very good one, with multiple layers, open for different forms of theatrical poetics.

Dželilović said that the author talks about the current crucial social problems; she avoided cheap transparency or the most superficial game with social trauma, which is, unfortunately, a characteristic of the majority of the applications

The author thanked all actors and actresses on their support, and 13 actors read her text; she added that this competition showed that there are a lot of good writers in BIH and decided to donate a part of her award to Emir Zametica in order to support the setting of his text.

President of the Association ‘Fercera’ said that the goal of the association is to promote theatre and authors from BiH and he announced that the book which will contain all three dramas will be published in autumn.
