The best Bosnian swimmer Lana Pudar qualified for the final of the 200-meter butterfly race at the World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan, with the best time in the semifinals.

Early this morning, the 17-year-old girl from Mostar took overall fifth place in the qualifiers with a time of 2:08.16, and in the semi-finals she excelled and achieved a phenomenal time of 2:06.60, which was the best time in the semi-finals.

Lana was even 23 hundredths faster than Regan Smith, and 25 hundredths faster than the phenomenal Canadian and first favorite for gold, Summer McIntosh.

Lana will fight for medals tomorrow at 1:02 p.m., and along with Regan and McIntosh, her rivals will be Elisabeth Dekkers, Helena Bach, Laura Stephens, Airi Mitsui and Lindsay Looney.

It is also worth noting that Pudar was the second youngest participant in the semi-finals. Only 16-year-old Canadian Summer McIntosh is younger than her.
Let’s remind you that Pudar finished the competition in the 100-meter dolphin race in the semi-finals earlier in Fukuoka, Klix.ba reports.
