Larisa Ceric won a Gold Medal at the Grand Prix

Larisa Ceric, a judoist from Bosnia and Herzegovina, won the gold medal at the Grand Prix in Zagreb.

Ceric was free in the first round and, in the second round, defeated the representative of Brazil Camila Yamakawa. In the semifinal match, she defeated Anne M Bairo from France with the maximum result, and in the final match she also defeated the representative of Lithuania Sante Pakenyte.

With this result Ceric confirmed her world class standing and has been among the best competitors on the planet in the category +78 kg for many years. This success has brought her 700 new points and in this way she has secured second place in the world ranking list.

The men’s senior national team of BiH was led by captain Ibro Miladin, and besides him were Harun Sadikovic, Rijad Dedeic and Aljosa Peric. The best result was achieved by Dedic among the top seven competitors in the category – 90kg, with two victories and two defeats, the Judo Association of BiH announced.

At the competition in Zagreb, 300 judoists from 47 countries participated. Nine-time world champion Teddy Riner was the overall winner.
