The seven-months old baby Arslan Kulacic from BiH showed a positive response to the treatment of a malignant brain tumour at the clinic in Istanbul, and his eyesight should return very soon.

Arslan was diagnosed with brain tumour at his birth, which belongs to a group of primitive neuroectodermal tumors (PNET), or the group of embryonic tumours, according to the new classification of the World Health Organization from the year of 2016.

Noting that Arslan’s health condition is generally good and that there are no significant changes in his growth and weight, the leading physician Caglar Cuhadaroglu stated that they conducted ophthalmological examinations this week.

“The tumour damaged Arslan’s eyesight. After the detailed examination, our specialist said that Arslan’s eyesight is slowly returning and that we can expect for his eyesight to completely return to one of his eyes. This is a very good news,” said Cuhadaroglu.

“We are conducting his treatments with mutual trust and understanding and I believe that this will make a positive contribution to the entire treatment process,” stated Cuhadaroglu.

Numerous humanitarian actions were started in BiH with the aim to collect the necessary 133,000 EUR for the treatment of little baby Arslan in Istanbul.
