Lejla Hodzic Awarded with Special Prize by the Japan Foreign Trade Council

lejlaLejla Hodzic, second year student of International Law at the American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AUBiH) is one of the winners of essay competition which is organized every year by the Japanese Chamber of Foreign Trade (Japan Foreign Trade Council).

Every year, the Council traditionally organizes the competition for the best essay in order to encourage students, researchers and the business community to express their views and opinions on issues of international importance.

In this year of 195 essays from 41 countries were submitted and four authors were awarded.

Lejla Hodzic, as the youngest winner, won the special prize of 100,000 yen. She wrote an essay entitled “Japan: An insight into the future of the world”, announced the American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Student of AUBiH was awarded with a trip to Japan in order to attend the award ceremony, where she had the opportunity to meet with the directors of world-renowned Japanese companies, diplomatic corps and many current and future leaders of the world economy.
