Lifeless Body of Serbian Citizen Discovered on Drina Riverbank Near Bijeljina

The lifeless body of Serbian citizen J.W. was found on the banks of the Drina River in the town of Popovi near Bijeljina, the Bijeljina Police Department announced.

The statement states that the police were notified yesterday at around 6:45 p.m. that the lifeless body of a Serbian citizen was found on the banks of the Drina River, in the town of Popovi.

“Police officers from the Bijeljina Police Department conducted an on-site investigation, led by the prosecutor on duty of the Bijeljina District Public Prosecutor’s Office, and subsequently took all other measures and actions within their jurisdiction,” it added.

The prosecutor on duty ordered an autopsy to be performed, the statement states.
