The five year old lion at the recreational-entertainment center of “Pioneer Valley” this morning for the first time together with the newly arrived lioness stayed outdoors, at the space arranged for race of 1.000 m2.
“Judging by the situation of this morning at the race court, the process of the lioness getting used to the presence of the lion passes exceptionally well and many visitors of “Pioneer valley” at the race court from now on will be able to see the lion and lioness together”, said for Agency Fena the professional assistant for information of the company “Park” Aldijana Hamza.
The five years old lion Rily arrived to the Sarajevo zoo at the beginning of last year from the zoo in Sofia and he spent the first year alone. The seven years old lioness arrived from the zoo in “Osijek” thanks to the funds of Municipality Center.
Until this morning the lion and lioness have stayed in separate parts because the lioness had to spend 30 days in quarantine, to get used to the new space and environment and also to the presence of the lion and until this morning they have stayed apart at the race court.
“Today’s day and the presence of the lion and lioness together at the race court is extremely important for “Pioneer valley” because for the first time after more than 20 years, the only B&H zoo received again a pre-war value, but also because of the fact that the company “Park” and “Pioneer Valley” have successfully done their job”, added Tajić.
