On Sunday, 21 July the ‘Livanjska Cultural Summer’ will begin, where a series of concerts, exhibitions, poetry nights, literary evenings and concerts will last until 11 August.
The opening ceremony will take place on Sunday in the City Park on the plateau in front of the National University, where there will be a musical performance. With the City Accordion Orchestra led by Mladen Jelović, there will also be solo performances by Kristina Krželj, Anja Brdar, Marijana Šeremet and Lado Džaja, and maestro Josip Bajalo.
This will be the introduction for the hit comedy of the Zagreb Theatre Hit “Vlaška posla”, which will be performed in a movie theatre after the official opening. Guests will be actresses Ana Gruica, Matea Elezović and Jadranka Elezović, and the play tells the story of the eternal problem of legacy.
On the same day, there will be the opening of the international book fair on main city streets.
On 11 August, there will be a puppet show called ‘Vesela Polutka’ by the children’s puppet ensemble Virko.
There will be a poetry night “Šibenik Livnu”, and exhibitions of paintings by students from the school of paining by academic painter Ivica Vlašić, an exhibition of paintings “In the quiet of our streets’, as part of the exhibition of photographs of images of Livno through the eyes of Marin Mamuza.
There will also be a presentation of the book “Livanjski Kaići” by author Damir Tadić.
‘There will also be a theatre play ‘Letters of Literature’ by actors from Mostar Ivo Krešić and Igor Vidačković, and a musical performance ‘Marijana and Lado’.
There will also be sports events: tournaments in basketball and volleyball an King Tomislav Square, and members of the Tae kwon do Club Magone will present the skills of this popular sport.
This year’s cultural summer will close with a concert by Đani Stipaničon King Tomislav Square.
