The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, is currently visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. After yesterday’s political meetings and official obligations, Khan used the opportunity to experience Sarajevo with a casual sports vibe.

He shared impressions from his morning training on social media, writing: “The ultimate reset: morning run through beautiful streets of Sarajevo.”

As seen in the attached photograph, the London Mayor chose the heart of this city as a route. He took a selfie in a tranquil Baščaršija in front of Sebilj, wearing his city-branded sportswear.

As a reminder, Khan started his visit yesterday, meeting with the Chair of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović. During the conversation, Bećirović expressed gratitude to the mayor of London for his long-standing support of the multi-ethnic Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It has also been concluded that Bosnia and Herzegovina is of crucial importance for the further efforts of London to preserve the truth about our country and to promote the values of peace, tolerance, and coexistence.

Sadiq Khan is a prominent British politician from the Labour Party who has been the mayor of London since 2016. He was born on October 8, 1970, in London as the son of Pakistani immigrants. He is a lawyer specializing in human rights, and before entering politics, he handled cases related to civil liberties and anti-discrimination efforts.

His rise to leadership in London made history, as he became the first Muslim to be elected as the mayor of a Western European city. Before serving as a mayor, Khan was a British MP, representing the Tooting constituency from 2005 to 2016.

Under the Labour government, he served in a couple of ministerial roles, including Minister of Transport and Minister of Justice. As a mayor, he focused on enhancing public transport, increasing housing affordability, improving air quality, and fighting climate change, Klix.ba writes.
