12476582_1742145772688766_1234672640_nConstruction works on the section of Corridor 5C, section Zenica South – Zenica North are in full swing. One of the most challenging sections of this megaproject is constructed and supervised by local companies. The main contractor is “Hering” from Siroki Brijeg “, while it is supervised by a consortium of companies “Divel” from Sarajevo and “TAEP” from Kuwait.

“We are working at full speed, and current weather conditions are suitable for the construction so we are using it as much as we can in order to respect the deadlines,” said one of the truck drivers.

The investor “Highways of FBiH” set the deadline for completion of these works by the year of 2017, which, according to the works that are currently being performed, could be quite realizable.

Construction of this section is financed from the funds provided by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED).

“Value of the works is 33.5 million BAM, and value of supervision is 2.5 million BAM. If there are no unforeseen circumstances, the deadline for completion of these section should be respected, so that the section should be completed next year,” added from the “Highways of FBiH”.

Beginning of works on this section was announced on the 23rd of October 2014.
