Lower Number of COVID-19 Positive Persons recorded in Sarajevo

In the last 24 hours in the Sarajevo Canton, 510 samples were tested for coronavirus, which were collected from January 13 to 16.

The infection was confirmed in 57 people. Of that number, 33 or 57.89 percent are people who are in self-isolation from before and belong to family clusters or are contacts of patients, according to the Institute of Public Health of Canton Sarajevo. 72 people recovered and three died.

Currently, 101 people are hospitalized, of which 58 at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo and 43 at the General Hospital “Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakas”.

There are five patients on respirators, and six on non-invasive ventilation. 21 people were discharged from hospital treatment. There are currently 768 active cases of infection in Sarajevo Canton, and 786 people are in self-isolation, Klix.ba writes.
