covicMember of the BiH Presidency Dragan Čović met with the President of the Republic of Macedonia Gjorge Ivanov in Ohrid.

Čović and Ivanov assessed that bilateral relations are very friendly and they expressed interest for their improvement, especially in the field of economic cooperation. They also exchanged opinions about the situation in the region, as well as about the Euro-Atlantic perspective of both countries.

Čović informed Ivanov about the progress that BiH achieved on the path towards membership in the EU. Ivanov once again reiterated that Macedonia will continue providing unreserved support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European path.

After the official meeting, Čović and Ivanov had a working lunch. Following the lunch, delegations visited the old part of Ohrid, where they visited several famous cultural landmarks.

Čović will visit Belgrade today and meet with the Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, stated the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
