Macedonians will learn Bosnian from next Year

Macedonian prime minister Zoran Zaev announced that a teaching program in the Bosnian language will be introduced in primary schools in Macedonia in September of next year.

Teaching in this language in Macedonia over the past nine years has been organized at the experimental level.

Zaev informed the chairman of the Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdic during his visit to Skopje about the introduction of the Bosnian language into schools from September 1st, 2018, according to Srna.

According to the last census, 17,018 Bosniaks live in Macedonia, or 0,84% of the total population. The largest Bosniak minorities lives in Skopje and Veles.

On the second channel of the Macedonian public service, a program is broadcast in the language of the Bosniak minority.
