Company Madi from Tesanj is one of four BH companies that got a license to export chicken from BiH to the market of the European Union. In this company are very happy with the fact that they have fulfilled all the procedures needed for obtaining the license in a short period of time.

“We are the fastest growing brand in this industry in the whole region. We invest at least 10 million BAM in our production facilities and other infrastructure every year. We reinvest everything we earn and we even take loans sometimes. Our production plants are the most modern and completely new and this is one of the reasons why we implemented all procedures for obtaining the export license for the EU in such short term, said Maid Jabandzic, the Director of Madi.

“Currently, we are focusing on Croatia due to its proximity, and then to the EU. A lot of companies from EU countries are contacting us, almost every day, and they want to work with us. Moreover, many people left BiH because of the war, and they went to other countries of Europe and they achieved great careers, have their companies, and they have acquaintances and certain positions in the society. They are also giving some ideas and business propositions, which we are planning to use,” said Jabandzic.

Company Madi is exporting chicken for only four years and it achieves 11 % of total turnover. Jabandzic also noted that the future growth of this company is directly related to export.

This company from Tesanj currently employs around 500 workers and it exists for 28 years. Similar to most of the companies in BiH, they started from the trade, and they change the direction of their activities from time to time.

“We are now the largest chicken producer in the area of Western Balkans and we will produce 13 million chickens only this year,” he said.

When it comes to exports, they are mostly focused on Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia, and they are currently preparing for Kosovo and the market of the EU.
